Galentine’s Night Out

Goodness do I love my gal pals! Every February, my friends and I love to get together and have some sort of Galentine’s celebration! Last year, one of my good friends, Neelab and I hosted an event at Taco Dumbo here in the city! You can read all about that here! In previous years, I’ve done dinners, spa nights, movie nights, you name it! This year, I’m hoping to dress up a little more! Galentine’s is happening during fashion week so I wanted to showcase a few more options for a night out on the town!
Plus, a perk about Galentine’s is that because you’re with the girls it’s definitely an excuse to go all out with your style or try something new! It’s time to bring out the big fashion that your guy probably won’t understand! I’m talking, prints, patterns, bold colors, statement sleeves, you name it! Your girls will appreciate you displaying your personality in your OOTN and you won’t have to worry about your SO wondering whether or not you’ve lost your mind! Let’s dive in shall we?

Dresses: You truly can never go wrong with a fabulous dress! I love that a dress can be edgy with a pair of combat boots, dressed up with heels and made casual with tennis shoes. Here are some dresses that can work in all areas.

Suit up: I am in love with a good blazer or large cardi! I am pleased with the  power pant suit trend for women because of its versatility. It’s so easy to wear to work for a confidence boost and easily made movable by pairing with tennis shoes for the commute home. Or to pick up the kids after school. It’s actually one of my favorite outfits to see on the women in NY.

These bell bottom blues ain’t making us cry! Flared pants and blouse. The greater the flare, the greater the confidence? I’ll take it!

An A lined skirt and bodysuit is very flattering for many body types. The A line is perfect for making a straight shaped body (like mine) look like an hourglass. This combination makes you look like you tried even though it’s effortless. Paired with tights and some OTK or knee high boots, and it’s a match made in heaven!

Finally, who doesn’t love a good jumpsuit?

Will you try any of these looks with your Galentine’s? Let me know in the comments which styles you love the most! Happy Galentine’s!
